What is the Razor Hovertrax 2.0?
The first time you see a hoverboard, its obvious that is totally different from anything else you saw before. No handlebars,. No front or rear wheel. No brakes! Let’s get geeky: its an electric motorized, computerized, gyroscopically-balance-assisted, independently articulated, dual-platform two-wheeled personal mobility system. What are the differences between the Hovertrax 2.0 and the Hovertrax DLX 2.0?
The Razor Hovertrax 2.0 and the DLX 2.0 are basically the same product. The DLX 2.0 is the latest version and it has some minor aesthetic changes in its frame, LED lighting and colors.
But the main difference is that the DLX 2.0 allows a tiny faster cruise speed at 9 Mph (14 Km/h) compared the 8 Mph (13 Km/h) that its older brother yields.
Also, the DLX 2.0 has an auto-leveling feature. This automatically balances the hoverboard with the ground before each ride. It is a nice and cool feature but you can also manually balance the Hovertrax 2.0 from time to time, to achieve the same smooth balance.

Initial charging and the first ride…
Before you can ride a Hovertrax for the first time, you should charge it for 6 hours, making sure the device is turned off (the power light indicator is off) before you plug the charger to the electrical outlet.
The device comes calibrated and balanced from the factory, but is recommended that you perform a manual calibration before your first ride. Your owner’s manual will have details instructions with schematics of the procedure and you should check that up. But basically, you will be placing the hoverboard on a leveled floor, making sure both feet platforms are aligned and parallel to the floor. Finally pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds until the devices signals the calibration is done.

How to ride the Hovertrax 2.0?
The Hovertrax 2.0 responds to the rider’s foot movements. Remember this: the device moves due to fore and aft foot platform tilt caused by the rider’s foot (or feet). Movement, speed, and stopping are controlled by the degree to which the rider’s feet cause the foot platforms of the hoverboard to no longer be parallel to the ground.
The Hovertrax will try to keep each foot platform parallel to the ground. When detecting the movement of the rider’s foot, the device will interpret those as instructions to move the wheels and it will try to re-level the platform by accelerating or decelerating correspondingly to a forward or rearward tilt of the foot.

- Turns are done by putting more downward pressure on the front side of the foot platform on the outside of the turn.

- While standing from behind the Hovertrax, put one foot on the platform, closer to the exterior and wheel, and not near the center.
- Confirm that the device is active by gently pressing forward and rearward with that only foot.
- Bring your first foot to stable position and step up with the other foot on the corresponding platform, again closer to the exterior and wheel.
About the Hovertrax 2.0 training mode
The Razor Hovertrax 2.0 comes with two modes of operation: training mode and normal mode.
The training mode is the default mode set from the factory. This will limit the device to lower speeds. The normal mode is meant to be used when you are totally comfortable with the Hovertrax and feel confident in your skills to control and maneuver it.
The modes can be changed back and forth at any moment, by completing a simple procedure with the device and the power button. Please check your owner’s manual for detail instructions with schematics.

Does Razor offer warranty for the Hovertrax 2.0?
Razor offers a 90 day limited warranty for the Hovertrax 2.0, since the day of its purchase. This is a limited warranty and will apply to any manufacturing defects. Keep in mind that this will not cover normal wear and tear or improper use and handling of the hoverboard.
